Energy development
We bring together the land, the capability and the capital a project needs.
Clearview Developments originates and develops large-scale solar, wind and battery projects in Australia. We work with the landholders whose country a project sits on, with developers and originators holding early positions, and with the investors who fund the development. Most projects need all three.
What we do
The part between a site and a project somebody will fund.
We secure land, take grid positions, run approvals and carry projects to the point where they are ready to build.
Sometimes that starts with a landholder and a paddock near a transmission line. Other times it is a developer holding an early position who needs the commercial and capital side run properly, or an investor looking for development exposure that has been assembled carefully. The work in the middle is the same, and it is the work we do.
Where we spend our time:
- Origination and landowner negotiation
- Grid strategy and the connection process
- Planning and approvals
- Commercial structuring, offtake and capital raising
Working with us
Which of these you are depends on what you hold.
If you own land
Landowners
We lease land for large-scale solar, wind and battery projects. Send us a location and we will assess it on desktop evidence and tell you what we find, at our cost.
If you hold a position
Co-development
Developers, landholders and originators often hold something real and lack the capability or the capital to carry it further. We take that on and take a position alongside you.
If you invest
Capital
We manage development platforms funded by equity, and we work with a standing network of investors who fund what we develop. Capital is committed to a programme of work and released as projects clear their milestones.
Where we work
South Australia, Victoria and New South Wales.
We follow funded, dated transmission build. A corridor is worth positioning in once the augmentation is committed and a date is attached. An announcement on its own is not enough to move on.
The team
The people who take the position are the people who develop it.
